Refund & Return Policy

At VAutomate, we design and install custom smart home automation solutions across Pakistan. Because our products are integrated into your electrical system and configured specifically for your home, our refund and return rules follow industry-standard practices for installed electronic equipment.

This policy explains how refunds, cancellations, and replacements work for all VAutomate-branded devices and services.

1. Order Cancellation (Before Installation)

100% Refund – Within 24 Hours of Payment

If you cancel your order within 24 hours after payment, you are eligible for a full refund.

Partial Refund – After 24 Hours but Before Installation

Orders cancelled after 24 hours but before installation will be refunded after deducting administrative and processing charges, including:

  • procurement and logistics cost

  • technician scheduling cost

  • custom configuration (if already prepared)

2. No Returns or Refunds After Installation

Smart home products become custom-fitted into your home’s electrical and automation setup.
Once installed, the following rules apply:

Installed devices cannot be returned or refunded.

This includes switches, sensors, hubs, relays, and automation modules.

Why?

Because:

  • wiring, calibration, and configuration are customized to your home

  • installed electronics cannot be resold or repackaged

  • system performance depends on your electrical environment

This is the global industry standard for on-site electronic automation setups.

3. Defective Product Replacement (Warranty Covered)

VAutomate provides a 2-year warranty on all branded hardware.

If a device fails under normal usage, we will:

✔ Replace it

or

✔ Repair it

at no cost to you.

Warranty claims are honored only if:

  • the product was installed by VAutomate

  • there is no physical damage

  • there is no burn/surge damage

  • the device was not opened or modified

  • third-party wiring issues did not cause the failure

4. What Is Not Eligible for Refund or Replacement

The following situations do not qualify for refund or free replacement:

  • Damage caused by water, humidity, or leakage

  • Burnt devices due to electrical surges or unstable voltage

  • Damage caused by customer mishandling

  • Tampering, attempting repairs, or opening the product

  • Issues caused by third-party electricians

  • Incorrect installations done without VAutomate technicians

  • Changing mind after installation

  • Third-party devices not purchased from VAutomate

5. Advance Payments for Bookings

If you pay an advance for:

  • installation slot

  • custom configuration

  • site visit scheduling

  • product reservation

and later cancel after technicians/equipment have been dispatched, the advance may be partially or fully non-refundable depending on costs incurred.

6. Service & Installation Fees

Service or installation fees are non-refundable, even if:

  • you decide to stop using the system later

  • you sell your property

  • you upgrade to a new package

  • performance issues occur due to wiring or voltage problems

Technician time, travel, and labor are billable once delivered.

7. Wrong or Missing Items

If you received the wrong product or a missing item, notify us within 48 hours, and we will correct it at no additional cost.

8. How to Request a Refund or Warranty Claim

  • your name

  • contact number

  • order number

  • installation date

  • photo/video of the issue (for warranty claims)

Our support team will verify eligibility and respond within 24–72 hours.

9. Processing Time

  • Approved refunds are processed within 7–14 working days.

  • Bank transfer timing may vary depending on your financial institution.

10. Policy for Installed Homes, Commercial Sites & Builder Projects

For builder/developer projects or commercial installations:

  • Refunds follow the same conditions.

  • Bulk orders may have separate contractual terms.

  • Once devices are installed on-site, refunds are not permitted.

11. Legal

This policy is governed by the laws of Pakistan.
VAutomate reserves the right to update this policy at any time.
